Who we are. What we do.
The Global Alliance for TTP is an international network of patient advocacy organisations dedicated to improving support and outcomes for people affected by Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP).

The Global Alliance for TTP (GATTP) aims to unite patient advocacy groups and amplify the voices of TTP patients worldwide. Our mission is to foster collaboration, support research, advocate for patient rights, and improve the quality of life for those affected by TTP.
How?
The Global Alliance for TTP will unite and empower the global TTP community, driving progress in advocacy, support, and research. Together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of TTP patients and their families worldwide.

The idea of uniting TTP patient groups around the world began with Massimo Chiaramonte, a TTP patient and founder of the Italian advocacy group Associazione Nazionale Porpora Trombotica Trombocitopenica (ANPTT). His vision was to bring together organisations supporting those affected by TTP across different countries. In 2024, Massimo connected with Clare Martin of USTMA and Jo McIntyre of TTPNetwork, and together they transformed this vision into reality — laying the foundation for a truly global TTP community.
